 Next Generation @Mail Appliance

January 3, 2007

After a year of developing and distributing hardware appliance solutions, we have decided to update and upgrade our platform. Based on a SuperMicro system, we have introduced hot-swap drives, an Intel based chipset and SATA II drives. The new hardware platform will provide a more easily maintainable solution, higher performance, and lower cost of ownership.

With the recent news of the Fedora project dropping security updates for some older releases, we decided to look for an enterprise level OS for the new platform. We have chosen CentOS to fill this need. CentOS provides the same package base as RedHat Enterprise Linux, but has the community support that makes open source so appealing.

We are constantly pushing the limits of Webmail and email server systems, and striving to bring the absolute best possible solution to our clients. Whether your needs are a single server solution to bring your crucial email data in house or a full-on multi-server highly available mail server cluster, we can help your team select and deploy the best solution available.
