@Mail PHP server edition released
March 22, 2007
The transition to @Mail in PHP is now complete!
Our development team have been working overtime to complete the PHP server-mode version of @Mail, and it is now available for clients to download and install via the client-portal page.
The server-mode version of @Mail includes a complete Mail-server solution, including POP3/IMAP server, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Outlook Syncronization and Groupware features, wrapped in the easy to use @Mail Webadmin panel for account control and system preferences. Webmail access is provided using raw maildir functions for increased performance over a POP3/IMAP connection to the mail-store.
The advantages with the new release is a simplier install process, greater language adoption using PHP, and all the great features of @Mail ported to PHP. For a tutorial on how to install the new version see:
http://support.atmail.com/php/server-install.html
Availability of data migration scripts for previous @Mail versions will be made available on the 27th March.
New download evaluation copies will be available by the end of the month for Unix/Linux platforms. In the meantime you can reference the online demo at: http://phpdemo.atmail.com/ for the latest, or purchase a copy of the Email-server edition of @Mail at: http://order.atmail.com/
We’d like to thank our valued clients for all the feedback and suggestions for the new server-release, and we look forward to supporting the new @Mail 5.0!
