Notes to Atmail 5.x customers:

  • Migration script is on the way.
  • Expired Atmail clients can renew for 50% of their original A5 license until August 15th.  After that date, expired clients can renew with a 50% discount,  but it will be based on the new A6 pricing.

  1. Will the A6 be able to authenticate users against existing AD/LDAP’s? I am interested in this if A6 is able to accomodate this. Also, when is the migration script expected to be out?

    Thanks,
    Ray

  3. When in settings, I need to click on the option (left pane) twice to see the options.

  5. Hi Ray - Yes, Atmail 6 supports LDAP & AD support via the SMTP/POP3/IMAP server.

This is one feature enhancement over the previous 5.X release, the backend services now support SQL or LDAP.

  6. In regards to an Atmail 5 to Atmail 6 upgrade script, currently we are working on migrating some large userbases of Atmail 5 for clients, and are refining the upgrade process.

Since the new Atmail uses a different database schema, we have reduced the number of tables required ( The A .. Z prefix is removed ) - However, the migration script is a bit more complex, since it needs to migrate the relations and unique ID’s between multiple tables into one.

In summary, we are working on the migration process and testing this live, so once available for clients the process is as streamlined as possible.

    Thanks!
